bulthaup Training – Aich, Germany

Natasha Townsend, one of our newest Design Consultants based in Bath, visited bulthaup headquarters in Aich, Germany during October to begin her official supplier training. Each of our design team receives regular training to ensure they are always aware of the latest products, features and processes.

During her time in Germany, Natasha joined a group of bulthaup kitchen Designers from across the world. Speaking about the experience Natasha said;” The ‘bulthaup basic’ course is ‘the entrance card to the world of bulthaup’ for all bulthaup partners. The four-day course hosted by bulthaup in their headquarters in Aich, Germany was a fun, interactive course with other bulthaup newcomers covering topics such as company history and product details. The course also involved an in-depth tour of the factory. It was amazing to witness how much of the production is completed by hand, and the time spent in quality control at every point of production.

One afternoon was spent in the installation training room, where we were given the opportunity to install the b3 wall panel system and wall hung kitchen. Doing this gives us better understanding of the details when designing so was a really useful task. We were lucky enough to spend an afternoon in Munich, with a visit to the bulthaup Herrnstrasse showroom, designed by architect Herzog de Meuron, learning from the experienced bulthaup employees based there.

As well as being an insight into the bulthaup essentials, the course was a brilliant opportunity to learn from bulthaup designers from across the world; Beijing, Dubai, Vancouver, Bangkok and various European countries. It was interesting and exciting to see and hear how bulthaup is designed and perceived in different countries.”
