Hobson’s Choice Brownies

So good we bake them in our studios every week

There are hundreds of brownie recipes out there, but this one is our favourite. If you don’t have time to bake them yourself, pop in to one of our studios for some kitchen inspiration and try one of ours.

Ingredients

  • 450g caster sugar

  • 150g plain flour

  • 65g cocoa powder

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 225g melted butter

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 4 large eggs, beaten

  • 125g plain chocolate, chopped

  • 125g white chocolate, chopped

 

Method

  1. Grease and line a 20 x 35cm baking tin and turn on the steam combination oven to 170°C /30%. (If using a traditional fan oven 180°C

  2. Place the sugar in a large bowl and sieve in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt and mix well.

  3. Add the melted butter, vanilla and eggs and beat until well combined.

  4. Fold in the chocolate, making sure it’s evenly distributed.

  5. Pour into the tin and bake for 40-45 minutes until just set.

  6. Cool the brownies in the tin before removing and cutting into 18 squares.
