The Brief

This unusual home constructed without the use of plasterboard or paint provided a perfect partnership for the sleek minimalist style of a bulthaup b2 and b3 combination. In particular the darker colours and openness of the design sits perfectly within the striking simplicity of the structure.

The Design

The kitchen itself comprises of a bulthaup b3 tall bank housing ovens, fridge freezer, high level dishwasher, waste bin and storage in an appealing symmetrical arrangement.

The island features the sleek bulthaup b2 workbench incorporating the cooktop, sink and main prep space. Opposite and below the large slanted window a run of base units provide ample drawer storage for crockery and a coffee making station.

In keeping with the rest of the house, the client requested the most minimal use of materials and colours as possible. We limited the finishes to aluminium edged laminate fronts in Graphite and the stainless steel b2 workbench.

The Bora hob sits flush in the stainless steel workbench and is the ultimate in minimalism as the integrated downdraught made an overhead extractor superfluous. All the plumbing and electrical connections are grouped together in the service duct positioned below the sink.
