bulthaup b3 kitchen MATERIALS

bulthaup surfaces are created using the latest manufacturing technology and hand-finished by experienced craftsmen, making certain every piece of your kitchen is perfect.

A bulthaup b3 kitchen has unlimited design possibilities, the adaptable system lends itself to any property, personal style or functional desire.

The material choices are in four groups, Wood, Lacquer, Laminate and Metal. Each are honed to provide a faultless appearance and can be used alongside one another to give a living space warmth, contrast and different textures.

wood - veneer & solid

The natural beauty of the wood grain is emphasised through the careful alignment of the meticulously selected veneer panels. Veneers can be arranged to carry the wood grain across the entire length of the cabinets, horizontally or vertically, which can produce a stunning effect.

Solid wood panels are engineered to prevent the natural ‘twist’ of the timber that can occur over time. Two layers of aluminium, sandwiched between the wooden panels, ensure everything stays aligned. The metallic detail can be seen along the edges of the panels, highlighting the ingenuity of the construction.

With an almost unlimited choice of colours, and the option of gloss, matt or soft-touch surface finishes, a truly personalised style can be achieved in your living space.

Sprayed using accurate, modern machine techniques, the painted panels are then treated to multiple layers of lacquer. After each lacquering the surfaces are hand finished, ensuring a flawless edge-to-edge uniformity of colour and feel.

The bulthaup laminate material has no similar comparison with the finished appearance of a single-piece.

Available in a wide range of colours, the surface is highly durable, resilient to knocks and water, and is a popular choice with clients.

Anodised, and bare, aluminium panels provide the opportunity to play with light. The introduction of surfaces that reflect different tones, depending on the time of day, can add interest to the character of the living space.

Stainless steel, often associated with a professional kitchen, has a technical aesthetic and an incredibly hard wearing surface. Often chosen as a worktop, complementing a second furniture material, the surface gradually builds a personal story (light scratches) that shows how the kitchen is used and loved.
