In 1964 the trained upholsterer Rolf Benz, who was employed in a leading position at a company making upholstered furniture in Nagold, set up his own business. His business idea: People's need for more functionality in the dining room. The very first modular upholstery programme called "Addiform" was a great success.

The company built on the success of "Addiform". Upholstered furniture from Rolf Benz not only captured the spirit of the age but also was often even a decisive step ahead of it. Thanks to the co-operation with renowned designers, the three cornerstones on which the company's success is still based were soon established: Creative design, great comfort and high quality.

Rolf Benz upholstered furniture is geared totally on the customer. The company has developed sofa ranges in which the dimensions, seat depths and seat hardness’s can be determined individually to match the size of the customer.
