Here bulthaup are radically rethinking the concept of the kitchen and cooking. It is said that the golden rule of the workplace is ‘tools and materials must be well organised and close at hand’. bulthaup b2 follows this golden rule and creates a kitchen space inspired by a carpenter’s workplace.

All key functions are concentrated into three elements:
Kitchen workbench - work area, hob and water point
Tool cabinet for Appliances
Tool cabinet for Storage - crockery, tools and ingredients

The kitchen workbench, made primarily from stainless steel, stands as a pure element exuding strength and uncompromising expression. The bench consists of a leg assembly and selectable worktop modules providing the user with combination variants that reflect their personal tastes and requirements.

When closed, the tool cabinets provide understated functionality, an elegant and balanced backdrop complimenting the proud and focal kitchen workbench. Only upon opening the tool cabinets does the true design ingenuity become apparent; by stripping back a kitchen to the bare bones of its components the bulthaup designers have crafted the perfect storage elements. The intelligent compression of the storage space means the tool cabinets make more economical and efficient use of space than a small fitted kitchen.
