When you walk through a front door in Bath, Winchester or the villages of Wiltshire, a precision German engineered kitchen is not what you might expect. Mixing contemporary interiors in a period property can work well especially when the quality of the interior matches the quality of the property. However, many of our clients are looking for more classic designs that they feel are in keeping with the style of their homes which often feature high ceilings and interior features such as cornices.
To meet this demand, we decided to offer classic designs to the same standards we have come to expect from partners such as bulthaup. The decision was the right one, but not an easy one. After months of research, we came to the simple conclusion that nothing on the market was going to fit the bill. The only solution was to use our expertise and make it ourselves.
Starting from scratch is an exciting prospect but mix into that our exacting standards and the expectations of eight designers we knew we were going to be in for an interesting ride.
As they say, it’s been a journey. Using the strengths of the team we have created not just one new kitchen range but three. Although the inspiration and styles of the ranges are different, they are all built with the same attention to detail using traditional techniques by a team of experienced and expert craftspeople.
In the last 18 months we have taken nothing for granted. Every element has been sourced and carefully chosen from the bottom up. From selecting the best woods, designing mouldings, finding glass with just the right heritage feel and creating a new colour palette, every detail has been scrutinised.
Although we had to search far and wide for many of the elements, arguably the most important ingredient is on our doorstep. Wiltshire is synonymous with quality craftsmanship and joinery and we have collaborated with a local team which has meant that it’s been very easy to be hands on.
So, after 18 months of hard work, we are all very proud to introduce the new bespoke craftsman collection which includes, the Heritage, Industry and Shaker collections.
